Excursion schedule:

Day 1: GIANNITSA-THESSALONIKI – PIRAEUS – AEGINA (530km)
Departure from the Giannitsa office at 06.30 and from Thessaloniki at 7:30 (Egnatia statue of El. Venizelos) With various stops for
coffee and rest on the way we arrive at the port of Piraeus.
Boarding the ship and disembarking on the island of Aegina. Us
welcomes the small white Church of Ag. Nikolaou
Thalassinos, located at the entrance of the port. The first
Impression comes from the neoclassical buildings located along
of the beach of the island, with their colors, in earth tones,
to beautify at sunset. The city of Aegina is beautiful,
scenic and captivates the visitor. Accommodation at the hotel.
Free time. Overnight.

Day 2: AEGINA – AGIOS NECTARIOS – HOLY MONTH
After breakfast the city of Aegina the homonymous capital of the island
will introduce us to its sights. Her library, the Kapodistrian
Government, on the ground floor of which was the first
mint, the houses of the painters, Peppa and Lymperopoulos
and the Markellos tower. The magnificent mansions of the neoclassical
architecture with a strong popular element of the 19th c. remind that Aegina
has been the capital of Greece for two years.

Continuing the day
and knowing the beautiful villages of the island we will reach
Paleochora and the Monastery of Ag. Nektariou (nunnery with
14 nuns). Next stop in Aphaia, where we will meet her
Holy Monastery of Agios Minas, one of the newest monasteries of Aegina
which is experiencing a special spiritual flourishing and is a refuge
of many pilgrims. Next we will see the temple of Aphaia, from
the most impressive buildings of the late archaic era. Lunch out
and rest in our hotel. In the evening, a walk in Chora
with ponies and carriages or a walk on the narrow cobblestones
alleys, between the mansions, the churches with the blue ones
domes and folk art shops will complete the day
us. Overnight.

Day 3: AEGINA – PIRAEUS – THESSALONIKI (530km)
Breakfast and walk for coffee in the town of Aegina. We get on
ship to Piraeus. Via Attiki Odos we take its road
return. With differences necessary stops on the way we reach
Thessaloniki-Giannitsa in the evening.
